Hi, my name is Ingrid LeProu and I have been working in the health and wellness industry for the past 17 years. I began in the fitness industry, studying in exercise prescription and personal training. Then as I began to study nutrition, I became interested in a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. This led me to study Yoga, and Ayurveda. My interests continue to see me study in Meridian based yoga, breathwork/Pranayama, meditation and energy medicine.
My passion for Yoga led me to train as a yoga instructor and I began teaching in 2000. The style of yoga I teach now incorporates meridian based yoga which focuses on different poses for different seasons and keeping the body in balance with each season. After having children I became interested in Yoga for kids and how it can positively impact their lives. I have trained with Loraine Rushton (Zenergy Yoga) in Australia. It is a lot of fun to share yoga with children and a great way for them to develop strong healthy bodies and a strong self-belief! I have continued to study and teach breathwork/pranayama and other energy based therapies which I bring into classes, course and with clients.
In Mid 2016, I completed my Yoga Health coaching certification with Yoga Healer. This has been an amazing journey and has enriched my life and love of Yoga & Ayurveda for my overall health & wellbeing. I love that I can share this knowledge in my courses with others. I believe vibrant health is our potential and learning more about our unique body & mind is so valuable for navigating life and achieving balance.
In 2011, I attended a Louise L. Hay training workshop, to become certified to teach her philosophies. Louise Hay is an amazing inspirational teacher, she has assisted millions of people in discovering their full potential and healing themselves. I am passionate about Louise’s philosophy as it teaches us how to truly love ourselves and others.
"Thank you so much for your lovely energy, every time i feel getting better, when i moved to NZ i had lots of hard times here and i was looking to do something for me,for my body and my mind. I never done yoga before but now i feel ,yoga should be in my life like a gift for myself. Its a lovely place, and lovely atmosphere, when you arrived to studio you can left everything behind you and you can start to feel yourself, your spirit and your mind. Thank you for everything that you gave us, I will definitely be here every week 🙂 Thank you Ingrid 🙂 " Ozenc, Warkworth
I really enjoyed the workshop thank you! I found it really inspirational and empowering, when I got home I made a vision board and wrote some affirmations in my diary:) I also really enjoyed the yoga sequences we did, especially the ones focusing on opening up the hip area as I find this is an area of mine that gets really tight. What I also really loved about it, and about your instructions in general, is the focus on doing what works for you. Everybody is different and I enjoy having an instructor who values those differences and allows people to go at their own pace in yoga, and allows them to choose what practice works for them individually. I realised today I'm coming up on doing yoga with you for about a year soon, and I just really want to thank you for everything. I really do feel like yoga has improved my life physically, spiritually, and emotionally. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Jocelyn
We are a hard working group of staff in a fairly sedentary office environment. As part of our normal planning day, which involves a six-hour meeting in a room with no windows, I took the plunge and booked a yoga session for the team just before lunch after a strenuous part of the meeting where we became quite heated at times with rather robust discussions. Although some people had reservations about yoga in the workplace, everyone joined in. Ingrid was like fresh breeze in the meeting room. The stretches she gave us were easy to perform in an office environment and were measured to suit the audience of various ages and builds. The group enjoyed the session and we all had a laugh at the creaks and cracks as we stretched out the tensions of the morning. Lunch came just after our session with Ingrid and the mood was noticeable brighter and everyone was talking about yoga and how much they’d enjoyed it. The mood for the afternoon session was considerably lighter and we even managed to finish an hour early and with no further arguments. Andy - Ponsonby
Thank you Ingrid for coming and doing yoga at the Redwood Treetops on my party. Everyone that took part really enjoyed it and said how lovely you are. My brother in law had me on the phone for 30 minutes saying how much eh enjoyed it! so thanks very much ~ Trish
Diagnosed with arthritis in the knees, following my first Yoga Session with Ingrid, I came out of the studio and literally flew down the stairs with no pain - I felt like the 'flying nun' - Lou
I thoroughly enjoyed the course, I remember when you sent the questionnaire out and you asked what did I want to get out of the course. I wrote my main concerns were fitness, but yoga for me has turned out to be a bit more of a journey into rediscovering who I really am and why I have sometimes felt I have fitted in. (Finding out about my body type was incredibly interesting)I guess also it’s been about the opening of my mind to an awareness that encompasses rather than excludes. So thank you Ingrid you have been a great inspiration for me. Julie
A lovely workshop! Thanks Ingrid. I felt so relaxed, and my body felt worked in a good way! My mind is clear and calm after the day, and I am continuing with my yoga and meditation CD you gave us. Feeling great! Thanks xx
If only we gave ourselves permission to be all of our potential in body, mind and spirit, what a happy, healthy and caring place the world would be. Thank you Ingrid for making a difference in my life and helping me to believe that I deserve it! Yes, I recommend you to everyone!!!
I really enjoyed the 4 week course, I learnt heaps & would love to do another course with you again in the future. The realisation on how to better start the day for my health & general well being. It doesn't have to be get up & rush rush, rush, that can wait a few minutes.
I just wanted to say that I am really LOVING the classes. I feel so centered and relaxed afterwards. I want that feeling all the time! And it's giving me some little gems that I can take back and share with my clients as well. Thank you so much! See you next week.
This is the second workshop of Ingrid's I have attended and I can't wait for the next one. I have found them truely life changing and beneficial , especially the 2 day "Heal Your Life" workshop. They have flowed so nicely and it is so lovely to be able to meet and connect with like-minded people. Thanks Ingrid 🙂
Thank you Ingrid for organizing the Yoga Workshop in such a sublime setting.. Under your careful guidance, and with the blend of asanas, breathing technique and meditation, the Workshop was for me, both calming and strengthening. Complete with fresh fruit and herbal tea this was a perfect morning.
Nothing else I do leaves me feeling as fantastic as yoga with Ingrid. It helps my breathing, my relaxation, my strength, my balance, my suppleness and my posture. As one of Ingrid’s longest & oldest clients, I consider yoga to be an essential part of my health and wellbeing. Warkworth is very privileged to have such a gifted yoga teacher in its midst.
Thanks Ingrid! Loved the yoga workshop! Stunning revitalising setting and a really good mix of strong restorative yoga poses and great meditation and down time. Loved the day, a perfect winter treat! Thanks so much!
I have been coming to Ingrid's classes for over 2 years now. I continued through pregnancy, and then Ingrid gave me a program to do at home. I love Ingrids' energy and style she teaches. She is passionate about yoga and health and that shines through! Ingrid's knowledge is fantastic and I love that she always seems to be learning something! Very inspiring.
